Discuss your needs with the team at Big Blue Self Storage to ensure you only pay for what you require. An efficiently packed small space will cost less than a large space. However, if you need to access your storage space frequently, a well organised larger space with racks and archive boxes may be more convenient for you.
Large, heavy items you can stack other items on are usually stored at the back. Work forward and upwards with lighter, more fragile items. Store goods you'll need to access at the front of the storage space or leave a walkway to the rear if necessary. Using professional storage cartons and accessories (available from The Big Blue Box Shop) provides maximum protection and makes stowing and unpacking easier and safer.
Arrange disconnection and reconnection of services like power, gas and phone. Cancel deliveries like the paper and drinks, and organise redirection of mail with the post office.
Authorities and businesses to notify of your change of address include; the electoral office, vehicle registration office, banks and financial advisers, taxation office, insurers, educational institutions, the department of social security, Medicare, clubs and subscriptions.
